}Create a token
In the Notesmakr app, open Settings → Connect AI assistants and tap Create token. Copy the token — it is shown only once.
Add the server
Open ~/.gemini/settings.json and add the entry above (merge it into an existing "mcpServers" block), with your token in place of YOUR_NOTESMAKR_TOKEN.
Check it is connected
Start Gemini CLI and type /mcp. "notesmakr" should be listed as connected.
Ask for a note
Ask: "Make a Notesmakr note on the causes of World War I with a 10-question quiz."
Server URL: https://notesmakr.com/api/mcp. Never share your token or commit it to a code repository.
What to ask
- “Make a Notesmakr note on photosynthesis with 10 flashcards, a quiz and a mind map.”
- “Make a Notesmakr flashcard deck of 15 fill-in-the-blank cards for the key terms in this chapter.”
Each note uses 1 note from your Notesmakr plan. Flashcards, quizzes and mind maps attached to it are free.
