}Create a token
In the Notesmakr app, open Settings → Connect AI assistants and tap Create token. Copy the token — it is shown only once.
Add the server
Open ~/.kiro/settings/mcp.json and add the entry above, with your token in place of YOUR_NOTESMAKR_TOKEN. The Kiro IDE and Kiro CLI both read this file.
Check it is connected
Open the MCP servers view in Kiro. "notesmakr" should be connected with its tools listed.
Ask for a note
Ask: "Make a Notesmakr note summarising this spec, with 8 flashcards."
Server URL: https://notesmakr.com/api/mcp. Never share your token or commit it to a code repository.
What to ask
- “Make a Notesmakr note on photosynthesis with 10 flashcards, a quiz and a mind map.”
- “Make a Notesmakr flashcard deck of 15 fill-in-the-blank cards for the key terms in this chapter.”
Each note uses 1 note from your Notesmakr plan. Flashcards, quizzes and mind maps attached to it are free.
Other assistants
Setup guides for every assistant are on the MCP server page.
