Set up Claude Desktop

}Create a token
In the Notesmakr app, open Settings → Connect AI assistants and tap Create token. Copy the token — it is shown only once.
Add the server
In Claude Desktop, open Settings → Developer → Edit Config, add the entry above with your token in place of YOUR_NOTESMAKR_TOKEN, and save. It needs Node.js installed (for npx).
Check it is connected
Restart Claude Desktop. The Notesmakr tools appear in the tools menu.
Ask for a note
Ask: "Write a Notesmakr note on the French Revolution and add a 10-question quiz."
Server URL: https://notesmakr.com/api/mcp. Never share your token or commit it to a code repository.
This runs a small local bridge (mcp-remote), so it works in the Claude desktop app only. Adding Notesmakr on claude.ai and the Claude phone apps is coming soon.
What to ask
- “Make a Notesmakr note on photosynthesis with 10 flashcards, a quiz and a mind map.”
- “Make a Notesmakr flashcard deck of 15 fill-in-the-blank cards for the key terms in this chapter.”
Each note uses 1 note from your Notesmakr plan. Flashcards, quizzes and mind maps attached to it are free.
